Biography

D. Christopher Alfonso is an attorney at the firm D. Christopher Alfonso, P.L., in Tampa, Florida. He takes on cases such as estate planning, probate and estate administration, trusts, and wills. He is a qualified Florida attorney and a fourth-generation Tampa native who has spent the past 19 years helping individuals, families and business owners with a wide range of estate planning, probate, and guardianship concerns. He is licensed to practice in Florida and before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

In addition to his work with Floridian clients, Mr. Alfonso also acts as counsel for a firm in downtown Atlanta that assists out-of-state clients in establishing businesses or buying investment real estate in Florida by providing them with asset protection planning and trust administration services. His experience as general counsel for a global bank includes designing extensive estate and financial plans for high net worth clients before he went into solo practice. He has also done internships with a federal judge in Florida's Middle District and at a prestigious West Palm Beach trusts and estates litigation company.

Mr. Alfonso earned his law degree from Houston's South Texas College of Law with honors and then completed an LL.M. tax program at the University of Florida. His lovely wife Amy is a fellow lawyer, and he takes great pride in being a stepfather to her two adorable children. Finally, he is a devoted Gator supporter who loves Southeastern Conference football, Tampa Bay sports and Texas-style BBQ.
